Here you will find answers to questions about ordering, designs, photo upload, delivery, shipping and coloring.

Order

How do I order?

Choose a design (or upload your own photo), decide on the size and number of colors, and add the set to your cart. At checkout, enter your shipping address and complete your order.

Can I change or cancel my order afterwards?

As long as production has not yet started, changes are sometimes possible. Please contact us as soon as possible at contact@pictumira.de and provide your order number.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes, you will receive an order confirmation via email. Please also check your spam folder.

Photo upload (your picture as paint by numbers)

Which photo quality works best?

  • bright, sharp photo
  • good contrasts and clearly recognizable contours
  • The main subject should be large enough in the picture (not too far away).

Photos taken with a mobile phone are usually perfectly adequate.

Which subjects are particularly suitable for photo uploads?

Portraits (of people), pets, family photos, and vacation pictures with clear shapes work very well. Very dark images, strong backlighting, or very busy backgrounds are more difficult.

Is there a customer approval process before production?

Yes. For personalized orders, you'll receive a preview for approval. We only start production after your approval.

What happens if I don't release the preview?

You can request changes. If no approval is granted, production will not start. You can find details in the approval communication.

Can I upload multiple photos?

If you would like multiple variations, please order multiple sets or contact us in advance so that we can recommend the best solution for you.

Product selection (size, colors, difficulty)

What sizes are available?

We offer three standard sizes: 30 × 40 cm , 40 × 50 cm and 50 × 70 cm .

Which size should I choose?

  • 30x40 : ideal for beginners, quick to complete, great as a gift
  • 40x50 : best all-rounder (balance of detail and effort)
  • 50x70 : maximum impact, more detail, perfect for statement pieces

24, 36 or 48 colors – what's the difference?

More colors mean smoother transitions, more depth, and more realistic shading. For portraits and pets, we often recommend 36 or 48 colors.

Are there different difficulty levels?

Yes, many designs can be categorized by difficulty (e.g., easy/medium/difficult). Generally speaking, more details and more colors usually mean more work – but the result looks particularly high-quality.

Motives

What motif categories are there?

You will find motifs from these main categories, among others: Animals, Nature & Landscape, Flowers & Botanical, Cities & Landmarks, Modern & Abstract, and Gifts.

Why do the motives change regularly?

We regularly rotate new designs into focus so that you can always discover fresh designs and the shop remains varied.

Can I request a specific design?

Yes – if you are looking for something specific, it is best to use the photo upload or write to us at contact@pictumira.de with your idea.

Scope of delivery

What is included in the set?

  • Canvas with numbering
  • Paint pots (depending on selection 24/36/48)
  • Paint brush
  • Instructions

Can I order a frame with it?

Yes, you can optionally select a suitable frame (depending on the product page/option). A frame ensures a particularly clean look and good canvas tension.

Can I buy replacement paints?

Yes, if you'd like to reorder colors later, we offer suitable repurchase options. Ideally, you should have your order number ready. For questions: contact@pictumira.de

Coloring & Tips

What's the best way to get started?

  • Prepare all the paints and protect your table.
  • Start with larger areas or light colors.
  • Work in slow stages (e.g. 30–60 minutes)

What if I paint myself wrong?

No problem – minor corrections are usually possible once the paint is dry. Often a second, thin coat helps.

How do I prevent paints from drying out?

Close paint pots tightly immediately after painting. If a paint is a little thick, a very small amount of water can help – please add it carefully.

Shipping & Delivery (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver to Germany , Austria and Switzerland .

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time depends on the design, current workload, and shipping country. The estimated delivery time will be displayed at checkout.

Switzerland (CH): Are there any customs duties or import taxes?

Deliveries to Switzerland may be subject to additional import duties (e.g., customs duties and import VAT). These fees are levied by the Swiss authorities or the delivery service and are to be paid by the recipient.

We offer free shipping in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (see shipping policy for details).

What payment methods do you offer?

The available payment methods will be displayed at checkout (e.g. credit card, PayPal, etc.).

In which currency do I pay?

For Germany and Austria, prices are shown in EUR. In Switzerland, the checkout may be displayed in CHF (depending on market settings).

Returns & Complaints

Can I return a set?

Information on returns and cancellations can be found in our policies (Returns & Cancellations).

Does the right of withdrawal also apply to photo uploads?

Personalized products (e.g. photo uploads) are generally excluded from the right of withdrawal if they are made to customer specifications.

What if something arrives damaged?
